The Cyberspace Security School Sub-forum of the 14th NPU Aoxiang Young Scholars Forum Successfully Held - School of Cyberspace Security, Northwestern Polytechnical University

To further advance the school's overseas talent recruitment efforts and continuously enhance its core competitiveness, the School of Cyberspace Security held the Cyberspace Security School sub-forum of the 14th Aoxiang Young Scholars Forum at the Youyi Campus on November 21. This forum invited over 20 outstanding young scholars from countries and regions including the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, Singapore, Japan, China's Hong Kong, and China's Macao for academic exchange and sharing. The school's leadership team, representatives of young faculty, and representative doctoral students attended the forum.

First, Zhang Wentao, Secretary of the School's Party Committee, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the school. He expressed sincere gratitude to the scholars for their attention and trust in NPU and welcomed them to join the School of Cyberspace Security, contributing their wisdom and strength to the realization of the national cyber power strategy. Subsequently, School Dean Wang Zhen provided a detailed introduction to the development history of the cybersecurity discipline and the school, as well as NPU's characteristics and advantages in cybersecurity, along with relevant talent policies. He pointed out that the university has always attached great importance to cybersecurity, and that establishing cybersecurity programs, disciplines, and the school itself is a strategic move to serve the national goal of becoming a cyber power. He welcomed outstanding young scholars to join NPU to pool collective strength and scale new heights together.

Following this, eight young scholars from home and abroad gave academic presentations focusing on areas such as algorithm optimization, blockchain, and chip security. They showcased their current research directions, achievements, and future plans, and engaged in in-depth exchanges with team leaders and young faculty representatives regarding future development prospects and research direction planning. The atmosphere at the event was lively and enthusiastic.

Meanwhile, Professor Hu Wei, a representative of the school's young faculty, shared his personal growth journey over twenty years at NPU in a presentation titled "My Two-Decade Growth Journey at NPU," detailing his experience in becoming a national-level young talent and introducing the favorable conditions created by the university for the development of young talents. He encouraged young scholars to join the school based on his own development experience, to contribute to the advancement of national cybersecurity. Finally, he reiterated the university's determination and commitment to "building the nest to attract the phoenix," advising everyone to clarify their goals, seize the time, plan early, and stay connected, with the assurance that the school will fully provide opportunities, help, and support.

Currently, the entire university is anchored to the long-term vision of "Global NPU, World-class in Three Aerospace Fields" and focuses on the near-term development goal of "127." The School of Cyberspace Security is making every effort to integrate outstanding talents into its high-quality development and is promoting the development of its talent team in an extraordinary manner. This forum has built an academic and professional exchange platform for outstanding young scholars worldwide, further advancing the school's talent recruitment and development work.
