From October 12th to 15th, the National Finals of the China International College Students Innovation Competition (2025) were held at Zhengzhou University, where young talents from around the world gathered for this grand innovation event. Through rigorous selection, the School of Cyberspace Security won two awards in the Higher Education Main Track of the International Project, achieving the best results in the school's history.
With the guidance and support of the university's innovation and entrepreneurship policies and the university leadership, the school attaches great importance to organizing and nurturing important competitions such as the "Three Major Competitions." It has established a coordinated support mechanism for these competitions, led by the school's Party Committee, involving multi-party implementation, extensive participation by faculty and students, and a well-developed institutional guarantee. The school continuously improves the full-process mechanism of publicity, training, guidance, and services, steadily advancing innovation and entrepreneurship work. For two consecutive years, the school has been selected as an "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Pilot School" by Northwestern Polytechnical University.

The school has integrated the "Three Major Competitions" into its annual key tasks, with the Dean and Party Secretary taking personal command and frontline leadership. School leaders responsible for student affairs, teaching, research, and internationalization participate throughout the entire process, holding multiple special meetings to discuss key projects and engaging deeply with each project team. They provide comprehensive support in policy, funding, team formation, project refinement, resource expansion, and university-enterprise collaboration.

Starting from the university-level competition, the school solidly focuses on key stages such as innovation and entrepreneurship mobilization, selection, preliminary rounds, and finals. In the university's 23rd "Three Aerospace Fields Cup" Innovation Competition, the school entered 53 projects, a 3.5-fold increase compared to the previous edition. The school vigorously promotes a competition culture and practical skills, establishing competition and forum brands such as the "Forging Sword Cup" College Student Cybersecurity Practical Attack and Defense Competition, Cybersecurity Knowledge Competition, and "South Elm" Series. It organizes the annual "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Culture Month" activity, builds a project matching pool, actively fosters an innovation and entrepreneurship atmosphere of "daring to explore and being adept at creating," and steadily advances all aspects of innovation and entrepreneurship. In addition to expert guidance organized at the university level, the school integrates its disciplinary characteristics, platform resources, and faculty expertise, conducting over a hundred project guidance sessions centered on "expert guidance + gold award sharing within the university + experience sharing within the same discipline," comprehensively enhancing the overall competitiveness of projects.

Furthermore, in the provincial semi-finals of the Shaanxi Division of the China International College Students Innovation Competition held in July this year, five participating teams from the school won three gold awards (including two group first places) and two silver awards, setting a new historical record for the school. The project "Satellite Access Technology for Smart Agriculture" from Uzbekistan's Andijan University, recommended by our school, won the gold award in the finals of the Central Asian regional competition.

In the future, the School of Cyberspace Security will continue to implement the university's deployment requirements for innovation and entrepreneurship education and the "Three Major Competitions" with high quality. It will focus on cultivating "Chief Engineer-type" talents who are highly specialized, possess strong systematic thinking, and bear a strong sense of responsibility, contributing to the university's achievement of its new development goal of "One, Ten, Hundred, Thousand."
